Oversight Check-Ins
In Maryland, families who choose to homeschool are required to participate in periodic reviews to ensure compliance with state education standards. According to the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) 13A.10.01.01, parents or guardians must provide "regular, thorough instruction" in subjects such as English, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, health, and physical education.
Scheduling these mandatory check-ins not only fulfills legal obligations but also provides an opportunity to receive support and ensure your homeschooling approach aligns with state expectations.
Our reviews however, will be more flexible in terms of curriculum and are meant to support, not audit.
